    They look pretty small imo

Just checked, no ko2s in a 40. But god damn MTRs are expensive as fuck in a 40"

Talked to Austin a bit, your axle is a 8x170mm right? I need to get a complete parts list together so I can wrap my head around the cost

Nittos are available in 40s :stirthepot: they'd be a good DD tire

    I believe so

Didn't see any of those updates on your frame until now. They were pretty bent or of shape! I still have to pull off my bumper and straighten everything out as well... Thinking about doing something similar to what you're thinking as well

I put them up but not super motivated to sell them because I partially wanted to keep them.

I might be plating it soon, I think I may just overlay something thicker and keep the factory studs for the time being but that should get me by for the mean time

Frame ends for the bumper didn't play well with hard winching

Yeah, hard winching for @ChandlerDOOM and just a hard pull on mine with a snatch strap ended up bending the front mounts. I think Chandlers is a lot worse than mine though, mine is just bent on the one side

would you put the steel on the backside or the front? the front body mount is so close that it's going to be tricky to work around. Would have been nice to be able to just put an angle plate from the frame to the mount with a gusset.

Yes, it kept the bottom together but not the top, it's the first that Tyler has seen really do what happened

So what I'm thinking is a plate overlay the factory plate, the backside welded all the way around and little gussets on the side. I'd like to figure another mounting pointy up higher in the bumper as well

Its funny that its the first time tyler has seen this happen, and it happened to two of us! I havent talked to pelfreybilt at all about it though.

another mount point would definitely help stop it from being bent down. I'm still worried about the aluminum mounting brackets though. It will certainly be a lot stronger with the frame mounts stiffened up, but on mine, the single bolt on the inside pulled a big dimple into the aluminum. I'm thinking that it would help a lot to have much bigger and sturdier "washers" as well for the front of the bumper to sandwich the aluminum in steel. Then any stress would either have to rip the welds right off, or rip the threads right off the frame bolts. Better bolts would be the only solution then of course.

Yeah bigger bolts and washers would probably help, I know of the dimples you speak of.

Yeah, Ray's truck is gnarly!! I want to put tons front and rear eventually but want to keep the full bed without cutting into it. Been keeping an eye on all the cantilever/bell crank designs out there and hope to go that route in the rear. I know Wyatt at RST isn't to fond of doing that but that's the best way to get the outcome I'm looking for. Something similar to what Off-Road Evolution is doing with their Double throwdown in the rear would be perfect for a Taco.
I called Dynatrac the other day asking if they planned on making an ABS compatible straight front for our 2nd gens. They said there has been interest out there but nothing on their end to figure it out. They said it could be done an might be something they'd do in the future if the market was there. I say call them and light the fire under their ass. I know it's not a huge deal to many to eliminate the ABS, but to some it matters and in certain states the ECU needs to be code free to pass inspection.

Also asked about the recent price increase of their Tacoma rear and stated the initial price was a mistake and shouldn't have been posted at that price. Guess we should have gotten one while the price was down.

Yeah we should have. But before I think it was the same as Currie. Need a few extra things. Since the price increase it comes with everything but gears and locker. So price will be about the same once it's ready to be thrown under the truck. How ever I'll still go with Currie because of the tilted housing allowing more ground clearance.

488 but I haven't put much time in with the 35s and 488s only 37s, this weekend I'm going to try and get the truck out so I'll have a better idea how the gears are with 35s.

I have 33s with no plans for going larger. I hope I made the right decision with the gears

I'd be curious on your impression with 4.88s on 35s. As you know, I just ordered 35s, but I'm not sure when I'll have money for gears (and lockers).

gears are expensive. I am paying $1900 installed, for front and rear, without the front locker. The front locker would add an additional $800.
