Is that a Kukenam? I'm curious how well I could fit a bike rack on one side.

It is, and I think a bike rack will fit on either side. I will post a picture tonight when I get home.

Thanks for the pics! My tent is a week out and I'm dying to get it mounted. I think I'll end up mounting a bike rack up there so I can wheel with my bike, my hitch rack would die if I tried to take it off road, not to mention the expensive carbon bike it holds.

Just ordered the VooDoo HI RISE CROSSBARS and am anxious to get them on my rig ... hopefully they get here before the end of the week so I can install them next weekend. @KB Voodoo , thanks for the discount for us Taco Forum folks. I'll be trying to fit the brackets under a G4 Elite Fold-a-Cover. All of the experiences you guys have had thus far has given me more confidence that I can make it work. I'll be using the racks primarily for my backordered RTT (Tepui Kukenam Sky 3). When all is said and done I'll post pictures.

I almost always see the tent with the steps off the side. I have seen a few with it hanging off the back. Is there any reason more people don't do this? Can a normal RTT (CVT likely) be mounted on these crossbars/rack so that the opening is on the back? I want to have the annex access the tailgate and bed.

i think it depends more on your RTT....i know my tepui had different options on how to install my mounting rails on the tent. you can either mount them parallel to the tent joint or perpendicular to the tent joint...i mounted my rails parallel to the RTT's joint and it opens to the side...

    Yep.

But it's not bright, more of a bare aluminum color. It looks great in person.

You guys should really consider making those black to match the brackets… That's a lot of silver going right across the black cover. Lol
