What can frame stiffeners do, and how do you put them on if there is no frame?

    Yep.
Think of them as unibody stiffeners then and there's still metal to weld to down there

mats, flaps, and stickers. Extang solid fold 2.0. Mobtown sliders and full skids. AVS vents
Does simple green work well? I want to do mine as well before the skids and sliders go on.

Oh I hadn't realized there was that much metal down there. Unibody vehicles I've seen usually have much less and often not convenient, straight lines.

That's sums it up nicely. They'll also be a nice thick base to weld the sliders to. Without the stiffeners the sliders bolt on with 8 self tapping screws into the unibody and a few bolts along the pinch weld.

    Yep.
That I didn't know. OKC would be pissed after you stepped on one and ripped it off.

    Also, needs more jacks

Eh still, doesn't seem like the best route. The way you're doing it seems objectively better.

That was a pic from when I did the prep yesterday. We have more jacks and a few C clamps in use this evening.

And a fat joke? Body shaming is NOT cool anymore :(

    @MY50cal

What're your plans for the RC? To early to tell? Or all planned out already?

    Yep.
Planned out in my head like I hit the lottery but in reality, it'll be a mild build, a light wheeler and won't start for a while since a cash buy was decided. Have to pay myself back and build the funds back up. Goal is to have this one last a very, very long time.

First thing is yank the bed/cab, get the frame and any rusty components taken care of properly. Do a complete fluid change/tune-up so a starting point is established then swap over some stuff like my bucket seats, center console, UWS box, CB/HAM, radio, speakers...etc.

Being a 4 banger, everything done needs to have weight taken into consideration - hybrid/prerunner/tube bumpers, smaller winch, etc.

Not going over 33's (will do 4.56's and lockers) unless the motor blows and a 6cyl or diesel is swapped in.

Been doing a lot of reading on the reg cabs and 4 bangers; it's a whole new world lol
