Bummer. I do agree that most after market bumpers look better with bigger tires. Preferably 35s :p:D

I'll tell you, he didn't change much. He was always miserable and unhappy. All the really wealthy I know are like that. They are really greedy and it makes them miserable.

Yes. It cycles through 2H, 4H, and 4L no issue. They changed the 4wd selector when the changed the dash bezel - '12 I believe. The round knobs fit and work with the earlier 4wd selector. Are you pushing in on the knob as you turn it from 4H to 4L?

Its not OEM. I added it - https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/rcbs204-4x4-illuminated-switch.68173/

    Thanks. Its very OEM+ looking.

Post up in the thread thats specific to those knobs. Thats what I did. I found a member who purchased multiple sets and had a spare. Or buy a 2nd set and sell the others to members looking for a 4th knob.

See my answer above. It seems these knobs dont work with the newer 4wd selectors like youve posted.

Do 1 coat at a time, then test it out. The diffuser in the HVAC panel doesnt let light shine through evenly even though it looks even before you tint it. The last thing you wanna do is over tint them to the point where no light comes through. It would be a PITA and a half to remove the paint on them, I ended up doing light coat on mine and 2 on the 4wd selector.

I installed half a set of Osram Night Breaker Laser headlight bulbs so I could compare... I don't know if what was in there was stock. They said "wagner" and "korea" . The Osrams are standard wattage - putting in the ultimate setup ( https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-ultimate-headlight-upgrade-not-led-or-hid.398066 ) just is low priority for now and I still wanted better vision. I'm pleased. Theres definite extra light output, but not an insane difference - ya gotta expect some limitations on stock wattage. I took a couple pics with the cell phone but I don't think they show the difference we'll. This is about 10ft from the garage door. IMG_20170403_221834153.jpg
Osram on the right. Here's a pic driving up my buddy's lane after band practice tonight. IMG_20170403_212019239.jpg
Once again, I'm happy with them.

I tried it on my 2007 and it didn't work either. I am wondering why yours works.

I ordered a 7 gallon water jug for camping, along with a new hatchet. Both showed up this weekend.

Yesterday I picked up a longer air hose for my OBA set up.

Today, I ordered a set of Quick Fists to mount the hatchet. I ordered some D rings to add to the bed too.

Also, I added more weatherstripping to the tailgate. And I started on sealing the bed cubbies.

Good question. I had to go outside and triple check that it did work. Sure enough, it does. Your switch physically moves into the 4L position but doesnt indicate on the dash correct? Try pushing the switch in a little bit harder when turning it.

Has anyone else had this issue? Am I the only one who has a working 4wd selector with the round knobs?

Mine physically does not move into 4Lo unless I have the stock dial in. On both my 2007 and 2015, there is a pin, peg, prong or whatever you want to call it on the back of the dial that sticks into a hole to unlock from 4Hi to 4Lo. The new dials and in fact the old ones lack this piece, so I go into 4Hi and that's it.

Do it. The only drawback I've noticed is trying to fit the extra bulk in behind the radio. I just wrapped the module in a sock and stuffed it over on the left side next to the cluster.

There is a pocket of space right below the radio that is blocked by a floating piece of plastic. I cut mine out. It fits fine. I had the 4200, but traded it for the 8200. The glass capacitive touch screen is really nice, plus the navigation and trip computer with speed limit postings, altimeter, and compass screen is fantastic. I might have to get the Maestro for the voltmeter and tire pressure.

By chance on your 4201/4200, is there a dedicated Spotify app? In my 2007 Tacoma I have the AVH-X5800 and it has this fantastic Spotify app with all the app controls very similar to the Pandora app on our radios. My 8200 doesn't have it and it bugs me now. Pioneer releases new radios during CES in January so maybe the 8300 then.

Ill have to look at mine tomorrow. The 4L light comes on as soon as I move the selector on mine to the 4L position. The truck physically goes into 4L no problem once I pop it outta neutral into first gear after being in 4H.

    Something doesnt add up.

Hit a deer. It came off a high bank right in front of me. Bounced off the front bumper and kept going. Then turned back and crossed in front of me going back to where it came from. When I got to a place where I could pull off the road, I was expecting to see a front end disaster. Instead there was deer hair on the lower valance and around the light. The small filler piece below the headlight was sticking out. I could see a clip was broken. I banged it back in and it stayed. Lucked out.
