:rofl:79 guests, I know some are bots but god damn, don't be fooled, this is no 4th gen, don't get what little hopes you have up, body style aint changing for another 10 years lol drivetrain may, but you'll more than likely get what 2nd gen got, the 2.5 gen, so 3.5 gen with minor tweaks. OP should change title and or be fined [IMG]

Didn't even have to type it out, it just popped into your head, MAGIC!

Why would so many Tacoma owners want a Hilux? It is soooo not like the Tacoma. The Tacoma we have today is a result of what Americans wanted. You wanted softer suspension... you got it. More hp... you got it. All the creature comforts of an American sedan. All the years of bitching and whining about the boring little under powered lumber wagon we used to have. Now that you got what you asked for... you want the other kids toy. I just want the Tacoma to be a truck like it used to be. Not the fuckin mall crawler it's become.:duel:

I'm confused, most people that commented said they dislike the Hilux. The Tacoma still even sports manual seats, don't quote me but I think the Frontier is the only other one still with manual seats too. I think if Toyota had a choice, they would have stuck with the 4.0 and maybe have gone to dual vvti for a little more power in the 3rd gen, it would have been a much better powertrain in the Taco than the 4runner. With the 4runners weight, the 4.6 should have been standard. I think all the new features and looks of the 3rd gen + a refined 1GR and new 6spd auto would have been a smash hit with any previous Taco owner or future one, but of course we're killing the environment faster that way so lower displacement and future turbos it is. Mall crawling is a sport now, time to accept it.

For the people saying this Hilux is ugly.....may I present Exhibit A.

Ok I guess some have a preference and dont like the whale mouth up front. At least the truck isn't compared to a female body part lol http://jalopnik.com/5892051/the-new-ferrari-looks-like-a-uterus

I remember laughing my ass off because it truly looks like Ferrari was more interested in female anatomy than making a sexy car like they always do. Though I forgot about the F12 after I saw the FF, love me some 4 seater Ferrari, just an Italian clown shoe, the germans already had the z coupe!

I'd take a hilux with a single cab, bench seats that are harder than a concrete picnic table, and a 5spd 4 banger gladly... if it cost $12K stripped down. Since no one sells those basic pickups anymore and Im forced to pay nearly $35K for a v6 6spd taco, it had better be fully loaded like a small german luxury sedan.

I wish. Takes at least an hour to go 20 miles around here. That's at "rattling your fillings out" speed. I wish I had a pair of Kings to toss on one of these and see the difference. Can't wait to drive on a road in the states again. I'll feel spoiled, lol.
