You are right! I have been looking for the cover in my area and haven't been able to find one. I found one, but it was for 5' bed and mine is 6'. I went to the dealer today and they want to charge additional $700 for the rails(helps it fold) and other hardware (bolts and brackets) cost additional $300 some dollars. I am just going to return it tomorrow. I wish I had picked tonneau cover as accessory when I was buying the truck. I think it was only about $750 all together.

Just spend the $300 on the hardware. I pulled my rails off and cut them with a dremel tool in about 45 minute. Looks exactly like it does from the factory. I picked my tonneau up with all hardware minus rails for $280.

Which rails are you talking about? Are you talking about the side rails or the rails that helps cover to fold on top of each section?

Yep, that's the thread I used to do mine. It couldn't be any easier. Just have a small dremel tool and a pair of safety glasses. Start at the cab and pull the rails straight up. They'll pop right out.

$961.50 + tax + shipping. The bedrails kill the shipping increasing it by $100. Curious, does the trifold sections include all the gaskets or are these also bought separately? I saw this PN 64917-04010 from https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2016-tonneau-cover.480897/#post-14659218

$961 is cheap for this cover. I am not sure if you are missing some parts or not, but when I went to the dealer they charged me $800 dollars for just 3 pieces of folding pannels alone and $331 dollars for the hardware which only included nuts and bolts and other hardware that goes under the side railings and they wanted additional $700 for the 3 hinges that connect all three pieces together so each piece can fold on top of each other. Person at the parts counter told me it will come out close to 2 grand with tax if I wanted to get all the pieces individually. At that point I said forget this and returned all the stuff and ended up buying Bakflip MX4 and I am freaking glad I didn't buy this cover. Here is copy of invoice for just the hardware alone.

Sounds about right... B&M dealerships without coupons or specials are about 2-3x easily for parts that I can buy from the same dealers even through their online store. Example: oil drain plug washers-- dealers around me wont budge beyond like $2/ea when online I can get a whole 10-20 pack for not much more than that.
