I had a few pictures she signed for me. My Grandfather worked on the set of Charlies Angels, Love Boat, and M*A*S*H. I'd get to go to work with him sometimes and hang out on set. Didn't realize how cool it was until years later.

Lucky nobody got hurt. That whole setup looked bad, and apparently nobody thought to set the parking brake?

It's weird; usually a car doesn't have any reaction to lightning because the rubber in the tires insulates it from the ground. At most it'll overload the electronics and it'll shut off; I've never heard of one catching fire before. :notsure:

You see the guy on the right side of the screen? He is behind the jeep and looks like he is holding the wench line when the jeep started rolling and then snapped the line:eek:

While I don't claim to be an expert in such things, seems like a voltage sufficient to bridge hundreds/thousands of feet of air-gap isn't going to be much bothered by a few inches of rubber... :)

More the "protection" of a car is the Faraday Cage effect of the metal outer skin routing the current around the passengers.

That as well. Basically as long as you're not touching the ground or the metal of the car you should be fine. Since there's not much exposed metal in a modern car, the risk is pretty low.

I wonder if they had a window down and an elbow out or something. :notsure:

We had one strike a tree behind my house a couple of years ago. Weird thing was that we heard the CRACK! from the lightning, but not the thunder. But I'm not sure if the crack was the lightning, or the tree exploding (which it did, with great enthusiasm). :notsure:

I think I watched this a dozen times..
Makes me wonder about whoever was driving the Jeep to start, why were they in that position to began with, second maybe bc they were an idiot do to second incident.
Bet everybody will pass on having them go "wheeling" with them again.. Since they almost died several people.

What was that a car of clowns headed to rehearsal? Seemed like 12 people came outta there.

Why in the crap would you knowingly sit in a car for such an experiment... They must not have had much amperage.. Don't think that'd be a very good comparison to actual lightning.
