    Thanks, yea I was torn between the two, and I'm in the same boat as you DD. I got the GY tires for $152 ea (only sold through Walmart BTW) They're not too loud. Couldn't pass it up.

    I am running STT Pros right now and they are a great offroad tire that is acceptable on road. For a mud tire they are quiet enough on pavement, but there is a nice hum to them. I imagine the X3 is no different given the tread voids.

    At the 33 inch tire mark, weight is important, I agree. Your in re-gear territory, so I understand wanting to save on weight. The question is how much is too much? I dunno

    just had mine installed about a week ago. Ill give it to general as its a pretty nice looking tire. considerably less road noise than the previous tires I had, but still do hum. doesn't bother me though. Haven't been able to make a trip out on them yet but will let you guys know how they perform :thumbsup:

    Edit: haven't had any time to test them off road, but so far, I think they're quieter than the original Grabber tires that I had before... If anyone cares about that sorta thing

    They are very quiet no question. I'm not sure if they will prove as durable as the original however. Usually that means the compound is softer

    Still pissed 285/75/16 doesn't have color lettering on the sidewalls

    My friend has 295/70/18 on his pro tundra. 285s are the biggest you will want without fiberglass. Even with spindles and cmc i still rub on my 06 taco with 285 red lettters
