I got the 22" on the last group buy. It always puts my friend's coleman stoves to shame. We do bring the coleman stove with 1 lbs bottle as a back up, but we can use the 22" to cook 6 grown men for 4 days on a 10 lbs bottle, and this is also with boiling water for tea/coffee in between each meal with plenty of propane left at the end of the trip.

The partner steel stoves have a higher BTU output and more consistent flame, and makes cooking like you're cooking at home on a stove top range.

For those wondering about size: The 22" is about the size of an office briefcase when folded up, and easily fits a 10" pan and a kettle comfortably. Putting two 10" pans on their is doable, but you'll be unable to agitate the pan via the handle if that's you're cooking style. You can easily old the handle and agitate via a spatula though. Just my observations with my cooking style.

@ramonortiz55 Do you happen to know the lead time if the desired stove needs to be made? Id like to jump in on this but would need delivery before 5/19.

Yes. Came with a wind screen. The 22" is still that width when the wind screen is closed to make the lid, like closing a breifcase.

If you don't use the windscreen on a windless day, can you fit larger pans that go beyond the edges of the stove? Thanks for the real world review and input.

There is a disclaimer within the paperwork of the stove that recommends against using a griddle or pan at extends past the edge of the stove. It states that causes too much heat to be trapped in the burner area of the stove resulting in melting/damaging o-rings, couplers, knobs, etc...

It really depends on your cooking style. Do you like using a two 10 inch frying pans when cooking, then get the 22" stove. Do you typically only use an 8 inch frying pan and a kettle, then go with the 18" stove. I went bigger with the 22 inch stove and I'm glad I did. I can have a 10" pan cooking bacon, and another 10" griddle cooking pancakes effectively maxing out the area of my 22" stove. I couldn't do that with an 18" or 16"

@ramonortiz55 In for a 22" as long as I can receive it by 5/19, if the lead time is greater I will need to obtain elsewhere.

    Thanks!

Hey thanks for taking the time to respond. Another question. Is the 10" griddle that you use an order option for this stove? I couldn't find it on the website.
