I'm guessing it's bluetooth with the controllers. My set is wired and has a control box that plugs in the bottom of the controller and the headset plugs into that. I actually need a new headset too. Sometimes they say the volume is low on mine. Thought it would be a pretty good headset being a Polk Audio. IDK. May do a search and see what else is out there. I like the idea of wireless but not the idea of it possibly going dead in the middle of a game.
