Can definitely confirm that off the truck 2017 has remote locking tailgate as OEM installed. At dealer now.

My vote goes to color. Its the hardest thing to change and you'll have to look at it every time you walk up to the truck. Don't play psychological games with yourself and rAgret it. GL!

Open the tailgate and I bet you it will say pop'n'lock.

Color. You stare at it every day, you don't really look at the tailgate lock very often. Will you regret the color of the one you don't want later? Gotta like what you pay for.

I did. It did not say Pop n Lock. And it is on the Monroney sticker. $289 I think. I would garner that the dealer adding anything directly to the Monroney sticker is a big no-no.

And that dealer is $3,000 under the other dealer OTD. Both trucks are basically optioned out the same. So I would basically be paying $3,000 for color preference.

I believe that if it's added a the port it can be listed on the Monroney sticker.

I'm pretty sure you can get the truck painted the color you want for less than 3k.

The color I want in 4x4 #1. Seems like that's how I always pick. Interior stuff and all the other additions are just a bonus after that. Being as I usually go to the lot to buy that day and hate waiting......downfall

All I wanted was an SR 4x4 manual. Dealer only had Barcelona, and took 1,500 off when I almost walked out.

The color is awesome, and I've actually come to appreciate other things that are painted similar colors, Harley's, boats ect.

Either way the Tacoma looks good in all the options. I'm motivated mor by sale price.

definitely go with the color you want. You will pay way more then 3,000 for a quality paint job not to mention If you ever plan on selling or trading in the future changing the color seriously makes the value go down

The price is getting more competitive. Still about $2,000 difference in price, optioned the same, at two different dealerships. One is quicksand (preference) the other is silver sky.

Do you have paper showing price of the lower one? Maybe use it to convince the dealer with the color you want to meet it.

I tried. They said that was a great deal and I should buy it. These South Texas dealers are tough on price. Honestly though, the silver sky one does sound like a great deal...

Why can't they give you the same great deal in the colour you want?

Two different dealers. Dealer A with silver sky and Dealer B with quicksand. Dealer B says Dealer A will never do the price they offered in writing on bid sheet and it is their normal practice to low ball an offer and not meet it. MSRP on both around $41000. Trade in is 2009 with 32,900 miles. OTD at Dealer A is $17890, Dealer B is $19900.
