    :D

I still have a garage full of mods that I'm trying to chip away at. Lots of OT to buy stuff, but not much time to install it.

But the big ones are my rear shocks and the crawl box. The truck is already awesome right now, but hopefully by midsummer, all of the big shit is done and it's down to dialing it in for RT in October.

Oh really. I'll sell you a DIY or WIY kit. :p jk there is other better kits for extra cab. Mine are for DC. I appreciate the phrase tho. I wish I had the money to get them cut but I have to have patients.

    Thanks bud.

God no! The tubbing is really close to being done. Just need @3378jakesr5 to stitch up about 6" of seam that I missed. Then I can seal everything up for good. After how good my flares and liners came out on the driver side, I can't wait to get it done on the passenger side and the bedsides and move on to other things. Like actually driving the truck.

Hey Monte, I didn't want to clutter up one of your threads, so I figured I'd ask in here:

Is there a good book you would recommend for beginner photography? I found a few Kindle books, but I wanted to run the question by you. Oh, and forums and websites too...

    Thanks!

well...not that i know of

i have learned everything i know through this site and my friends. Seriously. haha and of course experimentation.

You should check out the Weekly Photo Challenge thread. I started it a few years back and Murph has been keeping it alive ever since. Its a good way to make you get out and shoot stuff and try new things. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/weekly-photography-challenge-thread.302888/page-312 plus its fun.

There are basically 3 main principals to knowing how to shoot a photo. After that, its learning your gear. where is does best and its weak points. then the sky is the limit in terms of artistic view point, angles, and other things. For that, most people say to start trying to copy a photo you like. Shoot at that angle. Try a new one.

Not sure if you want me to get into that right now? or later.

but like i said, i know the camera you are shooting on very well. The glass is what you will have to learn as they have their own character, short comings, and pros.

also, all my threads are clogged up hahaha so never worry about that :p

    Awesome stuff, Monte!

I'll try to keep my photography questions in here or on one of the photography threads.

Alex (@capturecolorado) pointed me to a great website that discusses the exposure triangle. That really helped me understand what goes into a good exposure. Now I just need to play. Thankfully, with digital it's easy to take a shit ton of pictures and really see how things work.

yea if you know about aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. You're good to go to start messing with stuff. plus editing too, did you get a program for that yet?
