Lol, my last set, of Toyo's, were not a plush riding tire. Even at 10psi, felt everything.
I'd still like to try a different set of front coilovers. but for now I'm happier than I was last year.
The area that I followed jr Brett through is rougher than a cobb up your ass with exposed rock.

    Interesting.

I thought you could pull it off without going below the axle tube. My bad.
    I'm sure I am.

But I also like to geek out on stuff like this.

Appreciate the offer! LMK if you think it's happening anytime soon.

I know I'm late to the party but I don't think going a little below the axle tube is too much of a big deal as long as you armor the mounts up. Not ideal for crawling but if you don't do really gnarly stuff all the time its NBD imo. Not like we haven't seen some SUA rigs go through some technical rocky sections and they have whole armored u-bolt mounts hanging down.

I'll definitely let you know, Mike!

And I agree. If they hang down some and they're protected, it's fine.

I'm hoping that with some of the things I'm doing, that I won't have to hang down too far in order to stay mostly vertical. Push comes to shove, I'll do whatever I have to do, including cutting the bed floor, in order to get the shocks that I have to run that way. I'll make it work, in order to get the performance and 'tune-ability' that I'm going for.

Austin how tough was getting the front diff out? Thinking about having ECGS ship me the whole assembly (front and rear) and installing them myself and sending back my current ones.

I did a clamshell and third from ECGS and the whole process was really straightforward.

The only thing that had me frustrated was my stub shaft. Once Monte and Brett both told me to 'pop' it instead of put pressure on it, the thing damn near flew out of the clamshell.

There are a few other posts in my build regarding my regear, but this one is probably the most useful.

Probably go this route. I'll wait till after July (finally be done with school) to do this then so I can just take off 3-4 days of work for unseen shit haha. It doesn't seem tough just PITA, so once I cross that bridge I'm sure there will be more questions haha

It's easy: held in by 3 bolts. Remove the CVs and bolts and maneuver it out. I did it in a parking lot with a hilift.

That's what I've been reading. What about that big 12mm allen wrench that's needed?

I used a 1/2 drive Allen socket for the rear bolt. Worked like a charm.

I'm doing both of mine at a mod day I'm hosting in May. :anonymous:

Did you have any issues removing the ADD tube/stub shaft like Jason did?

Called ECGS yesterday, waiting on a new rewards CC to come in so I can take advantage of the free $$$.

Well that's pretty close to 12mm so I'll look for both in case I can't find the 12mm

Let me know how it goes, that's the only part I'm "worried" about is the ADD tube

I just dropped everything intact and took the entire assembly to Brian for regear. So Jason would know how to remove the tube itself, as I never had to.
