ah got it. Figure if I am not getting driveline shakes or the like, I should be good for now? Only other way I guess would be to measure my angles and see if I need to readjust with shims?

    Can anyone answer this,

With the Dakar pack, removing the upper overload, does the centering pin have enough thread to torque down the pack w/o the upper overload? Or does the shorter stack require a new centering pin to bite. I don't know if the pin is fully threaded or has a collar.

Also, anyone have a gauge for how long this took them to do? Figured not removing the pack from their hangers, and using c clamps should be maybe 90-120 minutes both sides. Sound about right?

    Thanks..

I reused the center pin when i took out the top overload. The pin that came with my pack was fully threaded. I just had to trim it down to fit the bumper back on. As for time, it was pretty quick. It actually takes me longer to lift the truck properly, than it does to unbolt the leaf pack from the frame, and to remove the ubolts. I used a vice when re-assembling to make sure that pin went back nice and smooth. Make sure you dont destroy those threads when guiding it back in I'd say the whole process took me about hour and a half.

Old thread, I know, but I'm trying to find an answer to this- looking for 1.5 - 2" over stock max.

I noticed that with the overloads remove the springs can droop at least a few inche's more. In Stock configuration they drooped about an inch and a half past the OME shock eyelet, after reworking them, (disassembly, holes drilled for isolator, paint, machined a set of center spacers, and reassembled without overload, and new bushing) they where droopine probably 6 inches past the shock. I'm not sure how much the rest of what I'd did is responsible for this but I am to believe it's primarily the overoad removal.
Here are some pictures of what I did to my ome pack... unfortunately I didn't take a picture of droop before bolting the shocks back up.2017-04-05 10.49.22.jpg 20170331_202108.jpg 20170202_111748.jpg 20170202_112947.jpg 20170402_123723.jpg

Do you have a manufacturer/part number for those round spring isolator's you used to serparate the ends of the leafs?

They are doorman parts from oreillys. They are fairly standard, any spring shop will have them. I just liked these because they had a rubber washer in addition to just the plastic spacer which sat them a bit further off. It's a bit to thick for the u shapped brakets on the last non overload lead though so I would go thinner for both center and the plastic parts if I did it again.

I just pulled my overload from my EL095R Dakars and my center pin is collared... I assume that I'll have to buy a shorter pin rather than using washers/spacers?

Also: since they're off the truck is there anything else I should do as far as isolators, etc? There are thin metal isolators/spacers between the leafs and rubber/plastic isolators on the ends of each leaf with this version of a Dakar.

When I installed full Dakar pack. I used a shim. Bought stronger bolts and nuts and installed, with the packs clamped. I might remove the upper overload as well....
