Headlamp socket wiring replacement

The headlamp socket on Tacoma pre runner melted beyond recognition. Didn't notice the combination of the battery acid and the HID kit were damaging the housing. I tried to wire it to the best of examples I found online. I cannot find a diagram of the wire. The wire colors from the truck to the dorman after market socket I bought do not match up.

What HID kit is it? That could be the problem. Id try to solve that issue before putting a new one on and burning that one up.

The colors shouldn't matter. As long as the wires are going to the same pin, it won't matter. So looking at the headlight socket head on, the wire to the top pin (low beams), should go to the top pin of the new socket(low beam), the left (high beam) to left on new socket, and right (common) to the right on the new socket.

 

A Xenon HID KIT 9006K Hi/Low. The box was orange. Im gonna try it and ill let you know how it comes out
