    Everything still good @busatodd ?

When you put rims and tires on , can you include one with factory wheels / tires . I am gonna have to run factory's until I can free up some money to get tires, I just wanted to see how it looked and if I should wait.

IMG_0101.jpg QqqqYea rims were suppose to be here today, now it's looking like Tuesday. So decided to install my stereo equipment this weekend, tore it all apart tonight, but ran out of speaker wire, so have to finish tomorrow. Does anyone know where I can get wiring diagram for the 16 Tacoma?? Going to have to splice into JBL AMP wires to feed my signal processor and amp.

If you look on page one, I posted a pic of stock wheel/tires with lift.

Still have alittle vib still going on, not sure where to go from here.

You might have to add shim to rear end to correct pinion angle. I would first take out the carrier drop bearing spacer and see if that helps .

Did you get rid of all your vibs? I just got my lift finished up 3 days ago, I believe I'm starting to get the needle bearing vibe. Also my truck always had a very slight vibration in the rear when coming to a stop (only when the truck was cold). Now with the lift it seems slightly exaggerated but goes away after driving a few miles. My truck hasn't been aligned yet im not sure if that would make a difference.

If you suspect it's the needle bearing, the vibe should go away in 4hi. Or you can reach under your truck and grab your cv and if it moves, well, it shouldn't move.

Yea a good alignment should help. I never had any vibs before lift. After realignment it got a lot better, but could still feel it if I'm looking for it. ( I'm very picky) after getting tires on can't really feel it now, cuz running more aggressive tires, that's not to say it's not there, but just can't really feel it, if that makes sense. Did you do diff drop?

The vibration I'm feeling is so slight and inconsistent that it's tough to even detect so by time I hit the 4wd it's gone or at least I think. Maybe I'm just ocd. I know I've been riding around for 3 days with my radio off listening for stuff haha.
No diff drop. If I had the st maxxes I plan on running on it id probably never know I had a vib.

I keep telling myself to do the same thing. I'm sure after another week I probably won't care unless the wheel falls off.

This ^ you're going to chase it for a bit OP but you'll find it. My solution was the street tacos CB drop AND 3 degree shims.

If driving at 30 to 40mph and you feel vibration and hear kind of a "waaa waaa waaa" rhythmic vibe /whirring sound, it is almost certain your needle bearing took a shit. This OEM needle bearing will need to be replaced anyway with the ECGS clamshell bushing at some point because with even a small amount of lift they all seem to fail eventually. I put s very mild 1.5" lift on my truck and the needle bearing started vibrating immediately.

Easiest way to tell? Next time you hear the noise and feel the vibration on a straight road, kick her into 4-Hi and see if it goes away. If it does, you know you narrowed it down to your Needle Bearing. Search ECGS and Needle Bearing on the forums, you will see this has been a longstanding issue on the Tacoma spanning multiple generations.

Some members said they found some premature wear on their CV axle after 7,000 miles of driving with the vibes but have not seen anything significant. Others waited plenty long before replacing without and catastrophic issues. YMMV
