Hey has anyone had any issues, post lift, with your insurance? I saw online, and i have progressive, that you need to notify your vehicle insurance provider once you install a lift kit.

Yes. When i first test fit those wheels with 285 and 6112(2.5 lift) i could not turn out of my normal residential driveway without ripping my fenders off. So i ordered spindles the next day. With spoindles they worked with a cmc and a lot of painted parts of the fender flare being removed. If these wheels stick out futher you may be worried about ripping your fenders off if you stuff it or turn and hit a bump or something offroad

I actually saw a guy's thread way back from 2010 where he was specifically citing progressive and the hassle they gave him. Nobody replied to it and i went down the rabbit hole on google trying to find any info.

Just spoke with Progressive. a 4" kit is the MAX allowed for them cover your vehicle (assuming you have Progressive). Adding the "add-on equipment" coverage only added like $3.15 onto my monthly bill. I'd check with whoever your provider is just to make sure you and your truck are covered...don't want to get into an accident and file a claim and them say "HA! Go fuck yourself!"

After I was hit by a guy that 'just zoned out, man' , Progressive paid for the repairs to my lifted truck. No damage was done to the suspension. My shoulder and knee needed to be surgically repaired. Guy was one of those minimum insurance buyers and so I'm glad I had the extra coverage for repairs to the truck and me. I'm not a fan of the chairman but I'm still a fan of Progressive.

They didn't ask me for a parts list or anything like that. I think they just have a max allowable lift height that they don't disclose until you tell them honestly what you have. The guy asked me how high the lift was and i said 4" because that's exactly what the kit is.

It's insurance man! It's like solving a rubix cube blindfolded. Better to abide by it then roll the dice imo

I hear ya, just wondering why it would matter if you have a 4" or 6" or 12" lift

Just curious really, I always play by the rules

My best guess would be the higher you go, the higher your potential rollover rate would/could be. Could also be the higher you go the less likely you might be to see something or someone in front of the vehicle or behind. Or it could just be something completely ridiculous, who knows.
