    Has anyone had camber issues after raising their truck? I just raised the front of my truck 1.75" with the bilstein 5100s. Immediately I heard tire noise and figured the alignment would take care of it. After the alignment they said the camber was fine and he only had to adjust the toe. After driving it away I still heard the same tire noise. After returning home and visually looking at the front of my truck, it is quite obvious that my camber is out significantly, hence the tire noise. Are there particular specs that should be followed when doing the alignment post lift? Does anyone have experience with this?

    I believe camber will be slightly out of spec after any lift. The toe should; however, be within spec. I was having the same issue with appearance after raising my billies up to the .85 notch. After 20k miles, there hasn't been any uneven tire wire. I even had the truck aligned twice afterwards, but the camber still looked off. I think it's just mind games. Which tires are you running? That could explain the noise.

    OP is your truck 4wd? If so the noise your hearing may be the front diff needle bearing issue going on with a lot of the 2nd gen Tacoma's and not tire wear noise.

    Your print out will tell you if your alignment is off.

    jezus, they didnt even measure caster.

    FYI i did a 1.75in lift with 5100's on the front of my truck and got it aligned.... then about a year later i bit the bullet and did it proper with some SPC UCA's and proper alignment numbers.

    FYI you want -0.2 to -0.4* of camber (thats negative zero point two) 2.5-3* of caster, and right at 0.1 deg of toe in per side.

    Positive camber is just asking for a weird looking truck and tires that have the outside wear much quicker than the inside.

    Go to a proper alignment shop n have it taken care of properly. You will 100% need an alignment if you change your ride height up or down every time.

    Definitely the driver's side CV axle needle bearing... Same thing happened to me. Sounds exactly like you're driving mud terrain tires. While driving, between 30-40mph, put the transfer case in 4-high and if the noise goes away, it's the needle bearing. Search "ECGS needle bearing"...

    I don't think so. It was the second I drove away after my lift that I noticed it and it wasn't there prior. Visually you can see the positive camber and where the outside tire tread is making contact with the road creating the tire noise.

    Have you tried putting into 4WD while you're driving and listen for the sound? Exactly the same thing happened to me, and I thought it was the tires but it turned out it was the needle bearing. The sound disappears in 4WD because when it's engaged, the axle locks and the noise goes away.

    i don't have any advice for ya but got an alignment issue myself. Lifted my truck recently and bought some new tires. Well I went to get an alignment a few days ago and the mechanic said he did the toe but couldn't mess with the camber cus the bolts on the lower control arm have seized inside the bushing. So I have to buy new lower controls that btw don't come with the camber bolt(I think it's called) and the bushings. I have to go to Toyota for that. He also said he's seen it in a lot of tacomas. Anyone ever have this problem?

    Only about ~75% of Tacoma owners have had that issue at some point. Very common. Moog makes replacements.

    Your noise may be the tires, but my noise was the driver side needle bearing inside the front diff. I swapped it out for an East Coast Gear Supply bushing and it is quiet now.

    1.75" should not be hard to get it back to spec on the camber but yeah the needle bearing is a bad deal, I replaced it ASAP after my lift. Very quite and smooth now.
