    I had a plug in a 37" for a long time. Course it was on my third car/beater and was only driven about 5000 miles a year.

    The key is to find one that had good tools. I had a "slime" brand one that I broke the first time I tried it. I think ARB sells a kit if you're looking for a name brand.

    FYI, just in case you did not know. You can buy tires anywhere and then take it to america's tire and buythe replacement certs. Picked up tires from 4wheel parts ona black friday sale. Grabbed them on my truck when it was new as well after getting a nail in my tire the second week. It was repairable but a few months later got another one and they replaced it. Already paid for it self.

    Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
    Didn't even make it to the bottom of the first page and it had degraded into absolute shit.

    In most cases, yeah. As long it's not 1 or 2 inches close to the sidewall and the tire plug is bigger than the puncture hole. I got my tire plug kit from wal mart for $5.

    I got a screw in my rear tire a few weeks ago. I pulled the screw out, bore the hole and plugged it in the parking lot. Didn't even have to remove the wheel. Easier than putting on a spare. Took 2 minutes.

    It's been a couple weeks and still holding air.

    Duratracs!!! Yes my thoughts exactly. If you want a really tough tire I would go Toyo MT. I tortured the hell out of them with my Rubicon and they were tough as nails.

    The Toyo MT's ride really awesome, but they are really really heavy. They are a special breed of tire, their siping goes all the way down. They don't change look as the wear. I forgot all the other cool things about them, but they are tough, and some how are very quite. Bad thing, they are also expensive.

    $20 bought me a new tire... better than a repair job. :) All joking aside, the puncture doesn't look as bad in the photo as it actually did standing in front of it.
