Seriously, when I was a kid there was this weird neighbor that, for whatever reason, took up beekeeping. All fine and dandy until the bees decided that they liked our backyard better and collectively decided to relocate!

This was around the time that "Killer Bee's" movie was in theaters (late '70's/early '80's).

Whatever you do don't kill them. They will know and it will bee war!

My ex and her parents on their way home on a road trip drove through a swarm and it covered their truck in honey, no one thought anything about it until after the 200 miles they drove home and went to get out...all doors and windows were glued shut by the dried honey. My ex father in law being a fire captain had to go to the fire station and have the truck hosed down removing the honey and let them out:eek:

I'm a smoker but since I got my truck I don't smoke in it. Eventually this will help me quit.

OP you are wise not to ever start. This isn't a habit I would start. Wish I could go back and turn this bad choice around.

Gotta go take a smoke break now after all this smoking talk :D

I'd go with a leaf blower. Blow them out and don't stop till they're gone.

Be sure to make a video for us.

Google bee keeping clubs in your area. Most would love to take them off your hands,or truck,as it were.bees are starting to be come extinct, saving every hive possible is really a big deal now. Please do the right thing.

    Update.
Pulled the citrus air freshner and put some jelly on the windshield.

Went to dinner, came back and they were gone.

    Thanks everyone!

It's not like it was a swarm of 100 bees haha.
It was like 15 but still enough to prevent me from doing anything inside the truck! Lol

If you give them to a beekeeper, they might just sweeten the deal with a little honey! But any non violent, encouraging to leave method is a great second best. Thanks, your have greatly increased their chance to rehive.

With less than 25 bees involved, most likely they were drawn in by the air freshener, and the queen is still in the hive. If they were truly swarming( looking for a new home) there would be 100 or more. You made the right call on this one.
