Haha this why I first asked. Typically major national parks have enough room for the giant tents, but when wheeling I don't want to be stuck with half the tent up a hill or on a stump. If I'm going to get the family out, the queen has to be comfortable. Myself, I'm good with a 1 man or the bed of the truck.

    Just trouser snakes....

    I'm quoting myself. Bro AF.

For reference. I'm the handsome one at 6'3". Wally is the 6'7" one.

Front and rear cameras installed, they are on a switch each, front screen is a pop up so it's only in the way if you want it to be. I'm excited to wheel with the front one!

We have an 8' x 8' Coleman and a 10 year old Halfdome 2. Haven't used them in years. We're actually camping at a group site in Little Basin this July. Wife said that we can't park where we're camping. I was very sad and confused.

Me: Well, we're taking the minivan then cause I'm not driving the camper to a campground to sleep in a damn tent.

    Her: Obviously.

Me: Did you already commit? Can we back out??!!

I don't mind sleeping in a tent if I carried it in on my back. You know- when it's the only option. But once you start sleeping up high in the air, like an astronaut in a spaceship, it's hard to come back down to earth.

I've decided to wait on the RTT game.. Given my wife and I will hopefully be adding to our family soon. :fingerscrossed: having to hoist a newborn/infant into a tent scares the wife

I've decided on going with the GeoAdventure Awning and tent, at nearly $600 for the two of them. I can use the rest of the cash towards a shell and still be around a RTT price.

Been checking the RTT threads, but worth asking here too since it's pretty obvious this NorCal crowd knows their RTT shit. If I put a Kukenam/Autana XL on a BAMF rack for my short bed, should I be concerned about bed sides separating or any suspension issues due to weight distribution or anything in either the open or closed configuration? It'd be me, the wife and two small kids in there.

I think @Gply has this configuration?

You should be fine on bed separation since you'll have a full rack, but if you're still worried about it Total Chaos Fab and I believe Rago Fabrication make bed stiffeners for the third gens.

And you should be good on suspension as you've got a Pro, but I know with the stock TRD Off Road shit I was sagging in the rear with a BAMF rack and an Auntana Sky.
