Welcome to TW. Call or send an email/dm to Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and tell her what your looking for. I'm running Bilstein 5100 on all four corners and 887 coils up front with the billies set at 0 and am sitting level at close to 3 inches. The truck is super smooth on the road and a pleasure to run off road.IMG_1550.jpg

Bilstein 5100 springs set at "0" with Old Man Emu 886 coils if you are carrying extra weight up front.

886 have a higher spring rate so will not sag under the weight of skids, bumper, winch etc. Both should give you about 3". I'm running this setup right now but will swap to 886 when I get my bumper/winch later on.

I started hearing a squeak when hitting any bumps several months back...

I assumed it was just the Dakars, so cleaned/lubed them - It didn't help at all. I didn't hear the squeak when bouncing on the bed... So I chalked it up as another random annoying Tacoma noise.

Fast forward to last week when I was working underneath the truck on my LED bed lights and I pushed off the spare tire to crawl out.... Low and behold, I heard the noise!

Since I'm carrying a fullsize spare in the bed, and have been meaning to remove the factory one anyway, I lowered the tire and took off the lowering winch yesterday afternoon.

No more squeaks on the way to work this AM!

And soooo much more room for activities under there!

Bilstein 5100s set on 0 with some OME 886 coils with a 1/2" top plate spacer will get you a full 3". You'll most likely need new UCAs if you go that high though. If you skip the top plate spacers and only get 2.5" of lift, you most likely will not need new UCAs.

The coils you run will be dependent on the amount of weight you want to add/run over time. The 886 coils have a spring weight of 660# whereas the 887 have a spring weight of 590#. If you plan to run full armor in the front including a plate bumper, winch, full skids, and sliders then the 886 is the way to go, but they will be stiff. If not you will be better suited with the 887s. In the picture I posted earlier is the current set up on my truck, I have a CBI hybrid bumper with a winch, and sliders. The truck did settle a small amount throughout the first month. Even after it settling I still have a near 3 inch lift. As I said earlier give a shoutout to Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and she'll help you out immensely.

Please don't run king coilovers and spacers. That's like having a race car and putting some discount bobs $50 tires on it. Definitely take the time to adjust your coilovers to get your desired height

Did a thing: reverse pod lights - or f*** you :luvya: (tailgater) lights - and amber dust lights with strobe.
