Purchased by first Tacoma (06) pre-runner a few weeks ago and love it! Just joined the forum.:)

Ordered and aftermarket Pioneer head unit (double DIN w display) from Crutchfields so I could get XM and a monitor to install rear camera. Question: (1) Will the XM antenna work on the dash? If not, I'd rather route through the firewall for a hood area mount (have camper shell on back and don't want to remove it to get to the cab 3rd brake light) - where is the best place to route antenna through the firewall?
    (2) Will be installing a camera in the hitch receiver (making insert so I can remove it to tow) and need to find the best place to route the RCA wires (1 audio, 1 video from the rear bumper, through the body (double cab), and to the head unit.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

I ran my wires for my powered tailgate lock along with the taillight wires all the way to the front of the truck then came under the drivers floorboard with the rest of the wiring harness. I poked a hole in the seal then resealed it with black silicone.

Jim - Thanks for the response! Did you have to fully remove the carpet to route from under the seat to behind the dash?

Carson - thanks forthe reply! Were you able to hide the antenna wire under the weather stripping or did you have to tape it down? Was concerned about leaks if in the weather stripping around windshield? Thanks!
