Well IDK about that! I honestly think that is just their theory. It's because of those 2 coolers that the towing rating goes up on a non-factory tow package truck from 3500lbs to the factory tow package of 6500lbs. All the rest of the mechanicals are the same, even the gear ratios

Trivia question; where did AN lines get their name?

Had to stay home last Thursday due to flu like symptoms. Got pink eye and a bad ear infection over the weekend, so fun times

    That sucks!
    Hahaha
    Um no

AN stands for "Army Navy". They are the ones that developed them. Google Army Navy fittings

So i paid attention to my trans temps as i drove around on lunch. they mostly stay at like 130F-140F but under moderate acceleration i got it up to 165F. According to what I have read anything over 175F will wear on the trans fluid. Guess we will see how it goes when i finally tow it from the dealer to my house.

A long, slow, steady uphill crawl where the torque convertor isn't able to lock up would give you about the worst case scenario as to how hot your transmission fluid will get. You shouldn't be able to heat up the fluid overly quickly. If you're seeing fast spikes and drops in the fluid temps, you should take a look at where/how the data is being collected.

Ah, joint standard between the Army and Navy. Doesn't that make sense!

It's a manual, you shouldn't need one as long as there isn't a loose screw between the gas pedal and steering wheel.

Concur, manuals don't need them as you are controlling the gear selection and "lockup" with the clutch
