    Yep, same here. In addition to the language barrier his lack of interest in the class made it brutal. We learned about grain structure and the finer details in a third year materials course though, absolutely loved that class. It bothered me how little we learned about materials other than the one intro materials course we took. Self learning ftw!

    What you say about parts being designed to break before others would seam to make sense... I don't recall Toyota making a statement about their trucks were built this way. I think we need to keep in mind that Toyota builds their trucks for "Road Use" first and "Mild Off-Road" use second. They do not fork out the expense of building all parts bullet proof. Plus, I don't remember the off road competition trucks or rock crawlers building their trucks with parts that will bend or break before others will.
    What about the manufactures of off-road parts that make super strong UCA's and LCA's. If we follow your previous statement, we then should not upgrade anything.
    Just my take on it.

    Started feeling a slight "clunk" on driver's side but couldn't locate the issue. Last night I finally noticed that the CV is starting to leak a little grease. Is this a "park it immediately" situation, or am I ok to get to work until saturday when I can get it fixed?

    Arguably one of the more important classes, depending on which field of engineering you're going into. When all else fails, you can always go back to the basics.

    Apparently after doing some Googling it stands for Toyota Auto Body California or Company. I can't find a reputable source to confirm though.

    If it is just seeping past the clamp on the shaft, I wouldn't worry about it at all. I ran this way for 4 years.

    This happens a lot on the stock/OE CV boots after lifting. I really doubt that the cluck you are hearing is related to the CV boots throwing a little grease. Keep looking for another source for the clunk.
