Both @CedarPark and I worked for Charles Maund for over a year, and though service is the one department that has their shit together, everything else is god-awful. The new car sales side has like 3 trustworthy sales people who have been there for years, but the rest are a revolving door of young guys trying to get rich quick. The constant hiring and firing got so bad that by the end of my time there I didn't even try to learn salespeople's names because I knew they'd quit in a month.

Extremely poor management is present at all levels and they are well versed in the the typical dealership practices of selling the vehicle to you at what seems to be a good price, but then stinging you with BS warranties, fees, and cut-throat financing options.

If you find a vehicle you want to purchase through Charles Maund, PM me and I'll give you the names of the long-time salespeople who are trustworthy and knowledgeable. Otherwise, stay away.

Captain Amerikid told me that he's coming to Cars and Coffee with me! I can't believe he's going to get up at 0600 on a weekend - he's normally not up until noon!

 

Sounds like me hahaha I really like my sleep on the weekends too! But I plan on being there by 8am Sunday!

 

No one sleeps past 07:00 in my house because either the dog - German Shepherd - or the boy is jumping on the bed ready to start the day.

 

Right on brother, swing it by tomorrow for best delivery results!

 

I am heading to @Texoma's Saturday as well. @wagerhope if it is easier to bring to my place I can deliver Saturday.

I am gonna leave my house about 8AM. So 8:45/9AM.

Well I made 250 miles so far, that's 243 miles more than last time

 

Chris is gonna help me review basic maintenance. In 3 weeks I am driving to Florida and back in a 5 day span. Never driven truck that far. Want to make sure she is in good shape and learn a bit more about maintenance.

 

Charles Maund has the best marketing team I've seen. You don't appreciate it until you learn how fucked things are behind the scene. The amount of people they get through the door is mind boggling

 

Heck yeah man!! I would be down to listen in on that tutorial myself!

 

Martin is who I've worked with too.. maybe that's the key?

 

My guy is Jerry. He has been awesome.

 

As far as sales go, when I bought my Taco, I went in with my own financing.. and didn't care if I bought there that day or not... once we got that out of the way and they had to deal on actual numbers... it was a fine experience. The finance guy did try to ram the warranty down my throat, but I told him no a couple times and he gave up. YMMV
