    No, but Lexus can :D

If the little I've read is accurate, this is the same engine with twin turbo's bolted on, 415 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque

I would love to drive a 470HP Taco.

I wonder what it would take to drop a 3.5 eco boost in this thing.....

My last car technically displaced 1.3 liters and made 237hp. By that math we should be closer to 700hp:bananadance:. If only it had 6 rotors instead of pistons:burnrubber::mudding:

Do you have a source for that statement? I'm under the impression that the cams switch from Atkinson mode at a set RPM rather than pedal position? Real info is hard to come by though.

And how much oil did you have to dump in that thing, 0.5qt every tank of gas? I guess you never actually needed to change the oil, so saved on maintenance as well.:D

This, and more complex. I'd rather have naturally aspirated for less shot to go wrong.
Why twin, be a pioneer and do quad turbos
    3 year 150k lease. That's what I need. That's badass

Oil metering pump was connected to a seperate reservoir i ran 2 stroke oil in (kinda 2 stroke oil). But i raced that car frequently at track days and autocrosses and never blew a motor. Did get one warrantied at 99k but that took some effort (and a shit ton of seafoam)

Even if it turned off at a particular RPM, it still wouldn't effect the HP numbers listed, as that's peak. But you do bring up a good point, I know I've read it somewhere and it's also on one of the many youtube sales pitch's disguised as a "review". I'll see if I can dig it up.

It's company policy. If a truck hits 150K within it's lease we buy it out and sell it off lol. I'm not with operations in my current role but that's likely the point at which it makes way more sense for us to buy out than accept the over mileage charges.

But 150k 3 year lease I've never heard of. I'd consider that for my daily driver

I HOPE its like you said. It would be supremely idiotic of the engineers to not allow full power mode based on pedal position. Even if it really requires a pedal to the floor throttle position, the operator should have access to full engine torque whenever wanted. However, in reading the OrangeVirus blog about the Lexus ECU tuning, its apparent that Toyota is dropping the ball on ECU programming. Maybe they need to press pause on their hybrid system design and get their traditional engine configuration house in order.

There are some cryptic charts in the Tacoma "New Features" document that indicate it may be tied only to RPM though. That would make sense considering how many people complain about torque below 3000RPM.
