Under similar conditions I'd say my 2016 would get about the same. Dannyblues

As today was a very calm day , wife wanted to go to a greenhouse 36 miles away and I hardly get to contribute anything constructive .
Made a smooth 22.2 MPG on highway , 70 mph no cruise , rolling hills across red river to Sherman Tx. 2017 DCSB ,4x4 ,v-6 AT , air dam removed , TRD pro skid installed .

35 lbs. in front tires , 32 in rear . Offroad rims with GY Kevlar stock tires . Across bed toolbox . Great trucks guys .

In NH with a good amount of elevation change on my daily commute. This is the norm so far 20170405_233317.jpg

Maybe 5 city miles, the rest is Hwy.

    I cruise at about 67mph. I believe at 70 I'm getting around 19.2.

Nice. I wish Kansas would lower the speed limit. If I drive 60 I get semis blowing past me.

65 is the norm out here. 5 over is normal cruising speed. Side note, I notice a significant MPG increase when the truck is warm vs cold start. 4mpg at least.

But you've never been driven off the road, so why let it bother you unless you truly are clogging the flow?

First mpg read on my 08 4x4 MT 2.7 I purchased a couple weeks ago, got 23mpg in evenly mixed city/hwy 20 mile commute driving. If I can get that consistently I'll be happy.

I've never been driven off the road, but I've seen too many wrecks on the interstate to chance it. Besides, the turnpike is like the friggin autobahn.

In the two thousand miles that I've owned the truck, I've averaged between 20 - 21.4 mpg on each tank. That's combined driving with about 80% highway usually at 70 mph.

This would make sense. Only recently I've been able to squeeze 18-19mpg average. That's almost 100% highway, 60-75, and lower gears.

Driving 90 miles daily and am completely stock. Thinking about removing that hideous front spoiler, can't decrease my mpg by too much! Already took a pretty good hit by trading a vehicle that averaged 28-30 whats few more!

That's my very best mileage on 2016 TRD double cab 4x4 with manual shift and that was almost all highway at 65 max with windows closed, no AC and easy on the throttle. Tires cold 32 psi. OEM Firestone destination LE x 17 inch wheels.
So you got yourself a gem considering all that added stuff.

I run Shell premium nitro 93 mostly because of its superior detergency but I do find I get 1 more mpg with it vs non top tier regular 87. But still you best me in the mpg category. Dannyblues

Those numbers are outstanding with E-10!

I use cruise a lot... I may have to just turn that off.

One thing I consistently see is most people get less than the rated 23mpg highway. Even me, 22 average highway under no winds and flat roads at 70mph.

And before people start saying you need to go slower, my 2013 Taco, 2014 Camry, 2015 Taco and 2016 Tundra all got more than advertised highway mpg. Just not this 2017 Taco.

And yet my worst tank is 18.5mpg.
