I hope your mother heals quickly Marty and thank goodness it isn't cancer.

Speaking of mothers I called mine last night. She had a stroke about 4 years ago and we moved her from Florida to Raleigh NC to be near my youngest sister. Couple of months ago moved her out of assisted living and she moved in with my niece but still has limited movement and struggles.

Half an hour before I called her my sister was taking her home from a soccer game with my nephew. Sis stopped at a Chick filet and ran inside with my nephew and they left Mom in the car with the AC running. And she forget to put the van in Park. It took off around the parking lot with Mom trying to steer from the passanger side with her right hand (the working one). Somehow managed to drive all the way around the lot without hitting anything, crossed a busy highway and mostly through a Home Depot parking lot. Went over the curb at HD and hit a $400 shed sitting next to a $4,000 shed.

When LE showed up they asked Mom for her drivers license and she said that she didn't have one. He didn't hesitate and said Ma'm I see why. She is a bit sore today but doing OK. Last night she said she had had enough excitment for one day and was going to bed. Sister feels bad but things did turn out OK or so it seems.
