My diff leaked at the 2k miles right after I did the diff breather mod and was freaking out that removing the one way valved allowed the vaccumm originally was causing the gasket to leak. I kept an eye on it and the leaks went away after 500 miles and havent been back since. Going on 17k miles.

Youre fine. Youd be surprised how big of a spot, a minuscule drop of gear oli can make. Thats nothing.

Its funny how so many people on here are so quick to rush to the dealer for such miniscule problems. If this came into my dealer, it would get sprayed off and you'd be sent on your way. Everyone wants to turn nothing into something, and abuse the warranty.

Well some people, like me, have no idea if this is an issue or not which is why i asked. For other people that DO know, its up to them what they want to do and I would back them up on taking it to the dealer. Seems like a new $30K-$40k should not have little issues (if it actually is). And if it's not an issue now it might be an issue in the future (again i don't know, but seems like this is not an issue and wont be) and i have no problem with people taking it to the dealer to get it documented.

Price has nothing to do with it. Just because your truck cost "30k-40k" does not excuse its various parts from failing or people on the assembly line from making mistakes. Everyone thinks just cause its new means it should be exempt from ever having faults.

I don't necessarily expect perfect but for 40 grand (as in a BRAND NEW vehicle) I do expect the faults to be fixed.

This is nothing new. Most of us already knew this would be how a dealer would address the issue
