Yeah, but the great thing about gears is you can pull them once you're ready to SAS and get 80-90% your money back. You'll have more fun with the lockers and gears now, than that money sitting in the bank getting eaten away at by other "priorities" at the time.

Anyone see that California govt is voting today on raising gas tax $0.12/gal?

    This.

Been paying taxes on gas for road maintenance the whole time, roads are still fucked.

Now they're raising tax on gas for road maintenance.. where's the beef?

Wonder where that fund has been, probably paying for paper clips and Uniball pens.

I've been following this bill for a few weeks. It's garbage and an attempt to steal more money from taxpayers to cover up government inefficiency and ineptitude. Not only will gas and diesel go up, but so will vehicle registrations. I agree that the roads need attention, but you've got to be delusional to think that the state doesn't have enough money already. Gov. Brown wants $50 billion for the roads. If we scrap the high speed rail ($64 billion) and the water tunnels ($16 billion), then the state will have their road money and approximately $29 billion to squander on something else.

Yup, in good ole Commiefornia fashion they turn to us, the tax payers to bail out their gross mismanagement of funds!

Yeah, they're saying that over 60% of vehicles on the road in California are worth $5k or less so their registration fees will only increase $51. Fucking mine would be I think it was $150-$165 extra a year! That'd put me at almost $700 for my registration

    Me too!

What are the chances this doesn't pass?

Also wasn't one of the reasons they rode Grey Davis out on a pole was increasing registration cost? Some kind of controversy there. I'm pretty sure it was less than this.
