So I changed my sway bar end links as well as sway bar bushings and brackets. It's a good thing all of the trouble parts were the parts I was replacing. I had to cut off 7 out of 8 of the bolts :bananadead: RIP cutoff disc. Almost everything was either softened from rust and rounded or broke. Getting anything off this truck is never fun.
Oddly enough, getting things on wasn't fun either. Lining up the new brackets was a PITA and the end links were a nightmare. I abhor them.
And, as I tend to, I picked a terrible day to do work. I didn't mind the mist and light rain, but when it turned into a thunderstorm, I wasn't diggin' it. Too many hours getting wet and struggling.
But at least I have all new, greaseable parts. Wanted to get this done before next week since I will be driving to Massachusetts.

    Would an a340 trans out of a 4th gen 4runner (4.0) work on a 03 tacoma?

haha probably because and 04 4runner is a 3rd gen.

That is the same auto as in a 1st gen tacoma.

    When you typed (4.0) i instantly thought..oh 4th gen 4runner with a 4.0L V6 haha

I thought 3rd gen stopped at 02 for 4runner? They did put 4.0L as a340f.
