i literally sub to this to see what you're going to buy next.

just an off the top estimate, how much $ do you think you've spent on Lego sets?

 

It's a lot. Not as much as I've spent on the truck. According to brickset I'm look at around $20k and that is at RRP. Many of my sets were bought after retirement and at a decent mark up. So I'm afraid to find out what the true cost actually was. I'll continue with ignorance is bliss.

 

This one took some time. I am actually impressed with the pneumatic circuit design, its impressive.

 

I like these Technic vehicles. I haven't bought one yet because it's a very slippery slope for me.

 

I try not to think about it too...

Also you have a pic of how you display them?

And you have any beach type sets? Living on Oahu?

I spent 3 years at school in Laie. Could easily live the rest of my life on Oahu if the wife would have been cool with it. Loved the place. Especially the country. In summer would cruise to town to surf kewalos all the time though.

 

I don't have many beach sets just a few creator ones. I don't have many displayed really since we live in a small house. We won't live here forever, looks like we will move back to the mainland at the end of 2018. Then we'll get a house I can properly display them.

In regards to spending money. I got this today.

 

This is the only shelf I have stuff on. It's also in a closet. My wife said I'll get a room all to Lego once I'm mainland.

 

The insets on the first floor of that were creative. Also at the time it had the best modular interior detail.

 

Don't leave man. not worth bigger place. stay in Hawaii.

 

Yeah I just saw that. The kitchen looks like a nice build. I saw someone locally selling 10224 Town Hall for $485. That's more than I want to pay, but it's the last one I could "afford" since the others are ludicrous in cost.

 

They only get more expensive...

 

The cost of living here is so much. Plus we both have island fever. I miss being able to drive longer than 15min. (That's without traffic).

I would miss this.

 

7146 TIE Fighter

 

So I preordered a case of series 17 minifigs. So I'll have 3 complete sets and a few extras.

 

Not that I would want a whole case but how do you order a case?

 

I purchased it through a vender on the bricksetforums. Additionally, case might be misleading. I'm getting the box of 60 packages.

 

That would suck if there was like 10 of all the same ones.

 

It should be a sealed case. Plus Lego has published the minifig distribution.

 

Built the microfighter Clone Turbo Tank and 10131 TIE fighter collection. There is a 4th TIE not pictured since is the same.
