MGM vs Quicksand. Cannot decide!

Mt take on the quicksand when i first saw it was after awhile it will become a beige truck. IMO I first looked at it with sunglasses on and it looked great then took of sunglasses and it looked beige, again IMO.

 

I went MGM. But quicksand is a retro color in my opinion best treated as such. I love a little retroneuvo. Slap some graphics on and you can't go wrong.

 

MGM is better at jumping, but quicksand has the better color thread on tacomaworld.

Tough call...

MGM here. Was trying to decide between silver and MGM and saw a Quicksand on the lot. Wife wouldn't even consider it, she's really not a fan of that color. She kept calling it "latte." LOL

One option is get MGM and then get it wrapped in matte tan. The wrap can protect the paint and you can change colors all you want. I thought matte silver or matte blue would look good too.

 

MGM is perfect. Just wish I had gotten TRD OR...

 

Quicksand!

I settled for white (and I'm happy with it), but quicksand & silver were my first two choices.

 

I thought the inferno looked great and the quicksand okay. Got the mgm cause my wife liked it as a more classier color.

 

I love my MGM but have seen many awesome tacos in all different colors. Get what catches your eye the most.

Love it. I would've got it but I prefer MGM for myself. I just prefer dark colors on my vehicle. But there's one that I see often now and it's gorgeous

I really like the Cement Color and would have chosen it if it were offered on the OR, that said the MGM is gorgeous, cant wait for it to warm up so I can detail it!

 

Me too. Already ordered clay, buffer, pads, dealer, etc. Need to replace bed decals and install dynamat too if it will warm up....

 

LOL, already have all those things and been chomping at the bit to use them, better warm up soon!

Quicksand all the way. I loved the color since the old school FJ40s had that factory tan color. Had my DCLB OR 4x for a couple months now and gotten tons of strangers coming up and asking what the color is and that they love it. Even my wife digs it! Still lots of mods to do but even the base truck is awesome.

 

I'm biased but take either truck down a dusty road or dont wash the truck for 2 weeks and let your eyes make the decision.

 

I was set on quicksand and then at the last second went with MGM. I thought maybe in 4 or 5 years I might get tired of looking at quicksand, so went with the safe choice

 

Full disclosure, my 84 was kind of the same color as my new one so I am a creature of habit.
