You ever tried a Rubber Legged Dragon? Local guide at Callaway Gardens came up with it quite a few years ago. Works great on Bass, Bream and I even caught a catfish on one before. lol

I've tied a shitload of these.

I'll never admit where some of the bead chain on the ceiling fan at work has gone though. :anonymous:

The same shit everyone else has.

We need it though. Its nice seeing the USGS map all green and blue now. Shit weather should stop tomorrow mid day. By Sunday, everything would be perfect.

Me and my buddy are gonna go hard sunday, then next weekend is opening day here in western PA so were gonna go even harder and camp in ANF. Really looking forward to it.

Didn't know you fly fished Murph.

Nice flies. I stick mainly with trout, but occasionally switch when the waters warm for smallmouth in the river by my house.

Yup for almost 10 years now. Would rather fly fish than use a reel anymore.

Wish I would have caught this beast on a fly rod. I was messing around in a river in North Ga and though I had hooked a limb and it took off.

The one time on the whole trip on that river I was lazy and grabbed a ultralite.

    6lbs 2 oz Rainbow.

Is that the bait under its mouth?

Nice fish. Would have been fun on the fly rod. I've been fly fishing since 1997 or so. It's addictive, frustrating, and somehow relaxing.

That's a North Ga stocker under his mouth. lol

That's what we are used to catching up there. I was fishing in a 1 mile stretch of river in the National Forest between two trophy trout places. When the river floods the pigs get out sometimes.

Up there you can actually block the river off and claim the land under the river as yours if you own the property on both sides. They have rocks build up to keep them in and there is a rope going across the river. If you cross that line even if you are in the river you are trespassing. All the rest of the state you can't own the land under the river.

I actually caught him on a bitsy minnow crank bait. It's amazing how the trout will go crazy over one of those.

Here, you can technically float through on a canoe, but the bastards build obstructions that force you to portage those sections, then try to get you for trespassing. Mostly, it's not worth it. They can't legally block the stream and prevent fish from moving, and the fish move out of those waters freely.

I usually fish with a 5wt TFO rod and Orvis Battenkill III bar stock reel. My little jewel is a Orvis TLS 2 piece in 3wt though.

I'd like to get a 8wt and try some saltwater fishing in the flats. That just looks like a great time.

Thats a big piggy 'bow.

Cool. Im not sure where yet. Theres so much water up there to explore that I havent fished yet. Once stockie season opens up, I can fish the headwaters of alotta stocked streams Ive been eyeballing. Lots of tribs to Tionesta Creek look promising.

One of my favorite streams up that way is Cathers Run (Just south of ANF). It gets hammered for about a month or so then its like no mans land there. Ive had multiple 50+ fish days on that stream in the summer.

My place is just outside of Ridgway. The clarion is good, then big mill and bear creek is where I cut my teeth fishing streams. You can fish the big mill from the reservoir down to the river. Pack a lunch and some water if you do, it's an all day adventure.
