I am not sure. I would imagine the bell housing and converter are different, but I really don't know. They only used the a340 behind the 4.0 for one or two years (03/04). After that the a750 took over behind the 4.0 & 4.7

    I'm pretty sure the 4.0 v6 had the a340 in 03 and maybe 04. 100% sure the 03+ 4runner 4.7 had the a750

3rd gen 4runners are 96-02, and obviously the Tacoma is 95.5-04.

Very interesting. I thought they looked eerily similar in the pic. On the bright side I did learn that the early a340H was hydraulic based and the a340F is chain based. And as we know the a340E is 2wd.
Damn, if I can find more info I'd consider picking this one up cause it's a steal.

I saw the same video. I've been adding Seafoam into my vacuum line/fuel tank ever since. I just had my cats and o2 sensors replaced and the guy told me a lot of fuel additives will clear the engine of carbon but a lot of it ends up in the cats and on the o2 sensors. He said every 90 days is safe, anything more frequent and your eventually buying new cats and sensors.

Well my trans slips every once in a while and once in a full moon get a p0741 for the torque converter clutch circuit. This trans that I'm looking at is a very manageable price, whereas most trans I see are around $700-$1200.

Also lets just say I have a project I'm working on.

My trans on my Tahoe started to slip at 250,000 miles, I added Lucas to the trans and it stopped the slipping, that was 50,000 miles ago, I think the way it works is the Lucas additive is very thick and it
makes the trans fluid more thick and stops the slipping, anyway it still is working and running great

Swapped out the retina killing leds for new bulbs and found these blue caps for a couple bucks on Amazon so I tried em out.

Not exactly "blue" as I was expecting but its a nice mellow greenish so Ill take it.
Also replaces the redtop with a yellow group 34 after it failed to revive. used the methods recommended by optima but no go. Yellow barely fits in there. But im looking for a small bed toolbox to relocate/ install dual batteries eventually.

Not surprised by the color really.

Think of it like paint. The bulb is a certain color...amber..orangeish redish..right? When you mix orange/red with blue you get..green!

This is how theater people have to think about lights when picking gels for instance.

I also found the LEDs too much. I had white and if I drove for longer than a half hour I had to turn them off completely.
I ended up getting some red ones and when turned to the lowest dim they are much easier on the head, look decent too.

Very true. These bulbs are white themselves so I was expecting a bit darker hue. The caps did reduce the insensity of the white alot but I suppose they are more tranparent than the appear. I wonder how a blue bulb and one of these blue caps would turn out. But my dash is finally all back together now so I am done tearing things apart for a while!
I know the feeling! I drive at night alot and it just felt like lasers shooting my eye so I figured leds was the wrong move and went back to regular bulbs.
