    A small handful of select mods.
    It's not weight alone that is the issue. When you go off road you are tossing that weight back and forth mounted to the top of the bed. It's bound to spread the bed. I had a light weight rack up there with a tire for one season and ended up with spreading.

    Just too much flexibility in composite bed. Needs to be mounted to the frame.
