I can only imagine that this is exactly what the Japanese engineers who designed the vacuum control system for the twin turbos on the Rx7 do every day. And yeah, imagine the rubber vacuum lines in this after a few years of cooking under the hood with hot turbos.

But when it ran right, it was awesome :burnrubber:

Smitty I'm right there on this hope with you, I really am, but I believe a Ford engineer already confirmed that it will be a lot like the international version with only a few minor body panel changes :(

Here is the exact quote: "It will be facelifted, new headlights, grille, and front fascia. Corporate has mandated that the major body panels go unchanged." One of the "face-lifts" does resemble an F-150 though.

Plus he confirmed that if they do decide to go with a manual transmission it would most likely not be offered in a 4x4 configuration. I'm really sad if that is their final decision, that puts me out of the market for it.

Im hoping it looks a lot like a mini F-150 but at this point I'm wondering if it will come out looking more like a colorado....god i hope not. I swear, at that point it will look like a refreshed sport trac.

I sure hope they do a 4x4 Manual option!

The engineer said it wouldn't be. They are monitoring sales of the colorado to see how the manual transmission sales are doing for them, and will judge if they even offer it based on that. Its either 2wd manual trans or nothing. They are leaving the 4x4 manual market to Toyota.

Yeah the Colorado only has it in 2WD Version.

basically it is a facelifted international ranger (T6) and driveline combos are still being finalized (as of a couple months ago), but IF a manual makes the cut (which it doesn't look likely) it would be offered only at the lowest of trim level.

Edit: Correction here though, they are testing various "face lifts" and one does resemble the F-150. I did not see this before.

Naw, he's still waiting for someone to have the vibration issue that was "totally eliminated" so that they can collect on the steak dinner he promised if anyone experienced it.

That's what does not make sense to me as it has international underpinnings so Manuals across the board would require no extra engineering.

Their market research has told them it won't sell here very well.

Seems like bad research to me, sure it wont be a big number but I think would be worth pursuing, maybe they are saving it for the new Bronco.

Well, the engineer said the "Bronco" will essentially be a rebadged Everest. If all of this is true, I have nothing else to say....

I thought I read the Bronco is going to share the Ranger Frame, I did not know the Everest did that.
