Hey guys, this is my first Tacoma, first truck. I just installed a 3 inch OME lift. There is a slight vibration when im driving under 25mph or braking under 25mph. Its been suggested I get a spacer to shorten the drive shaft or replace a bearing in the front diff, or do a diff drop I'd like to fix this right the first time so are they any suggestions?

Search ECGS bushing. Replaces the Toyota needle bearing. Has worked well for many people.

So the vibrations have nothing to do with drive shaft?

I just did this exact same lift on a second gen a few weeks ago, 3 Deg Driveline Spacer, CB Spacer Kit, and the EGCS as mentioned before and no vibes here. just spent 8 days in moab wheeling no problems at all.

    Edit:
I have the tool as well and would be willing to ship, so you don't have to buy it brand new, spreads the cost around.

Flip to 4wd Hi when it's vibrating. If it goes away when 4hi engages you know it's the needle bearing.

This site is like a bunch of headless chickens. A dude says he has vibrations after a lift and the first thing someone says is go buy a $150 dollar after market bushing that effectively voids his differential and driveshaft warranty!? Not even a "how about you check your driveline angles" first?! My goodness, you people.

Good luck, brah. I'd get some professional opinions first OP, before asking dudes on this site.

Sounds like someone’s a little upset they didn’t get the bushing during lift install.

Well, somthing must be bothering you.

You’re a member of a forum dedicated to modifying Tacoma’s (suspension lifts arguably being one of the most popular mods) and somehow making a correlation between lift height and penis size.

Idk if you enjoy spending your Sunday’s being a keyboard warrior, but it seems to me that is some baby dick shit, bud.

You even go out of your way to say in your header that TW is a breeding ground for idiots.

If your don’t enjoy it leave, I think those members who enjoy this thread will find a way to make it without you.

    OP.
Check your driveline angles before you go and spend money on an aftermarket fix for an aftermarket mod.

If after you have checked your angles and they seem to be within specification, you are still experiencing vibrations, then make sure all components loosened during installation process are retightened to specifications. If after that you are still experiencing vibrations, and you haven't done alignment, go do alignment.
If after all of that and you are still experiencing the vibrations and you are convinced that you need a lift, you can consider spending more money and time on a ECGS bushing. Be warned that you will absolutely void your driveshaft and front differential warranty, at the very least.
