The pint glass in the freezer is definitely a no no haha. You want to allow the beer to properly cool at a slower temp, not good to make it make that jump of temps. With stouts it's a little different since they're better at warmer temps, but sours you want to let refrigerate for 48 hours before opening, and IPAs should always be cold but if they're not, 24 hours minimum.

The main point of the no glass in freezer thing as I've said before is that it picks up all the contaminients of whatever the hell else you have in your freezer and is in the ice, when the ice melts in to your beer, so do those nasty flavors.

If it's at room temp a lot of the co2 comes out of suspension. Cooling it down for longer lets the beer reabsorb the co2.

Honestly the beer will taste the same but mouthfeel changes.

I learn this from kegging my homebrew...

Definitely half to hit up Black Acer, Mash Craft and Indiana city. Three outstanding little brewerys that make a really good sip. They are all with in 10 miles of each other and live on the outskirts of down town indy. Super easy to get too.

Like I said, only in there while I did the dishes... So not freezing at all, more like chilled haha.

    Good info to know though!

I know over in ye olde England they like their stouts room temp... But this is 'Merica damnit and I like my beers cold haha

    I was there last Friday.

I know I had a few too many of the large-glass winter seasonals (8.6%)...

I woke up in the forest with trees and I still couldn't see the forest for the trees.

But by not washing the glass I get flavor from previous beers. I call it super beer.
