Glad to see another offering in this size tire. Also enjoyed the review as I run the ST Maxx now in 255/80/17 and have run most all Cooper offerings, including the ST. I have been quite pleased with all models and would be open to trying these out next. I like that they weigh a little less than the ST Maxx.

    Subbed for updated information.

I have only been able to find these through online retailers. A friend of mine owns a tire shop and neither of his national tire distributors carry them. At this point I can get the ST Maxx cheaper, though I was hoping for the lighter tire option.

It's been two months since this thread was posted. Anyone have any more feedback on these tires?

I tried to find them locally but couldn't. Online prices were more than the ST Maxx which is odd since these are supposed to be a cheaper variation of the ST Maxx. Ended up going with the Coopers, happy I did.

I really like these CXT tires. I will certainly consider them for my next set. If I have to get them online and pay ST Maxx prices, I will. To me, they look MUCH better than the Maxx. I've been wanting to move to 255/85-16s anyway.

They look very very similar to the ST Maxx. How do the look much better than the Maxx tires? (Serious question...I'd like to know).

To me, they look a lot different than the Maxx. The tread looks more uniform all the way across on the CXT and, on the Maxx, the center section and the side lugs look totally different. The side walls on the CXT looks much better, to me, also. I have never liked the look of the ST Maxx and would never buy them because of that.

I was hoping these would be a great cheaper option but they're not. You can get MXTs in both size 255/85 and 285 for cheaper than these and ST Maxx and St Pro are not far off so why even buy these? Was hoping for a better price point!
