I love both the dakar that you have and CBI's Moab bumper.

 

Do the job yourself? I have a slight wine on my 2013 and I am pretty sure it is an idler pulley. Dealer wrote me off as well.

 

@boogie3478 I was originally going to buy the Moab bumper after I got my truck, then CBI introduced the Dakar bumper and I couldn't pass it up. The introductory price they had it at made it an even better purchase.

I'm 50/50 on purchasing either the Dakar or Moab bumper. Both are beautiful.

 

Removed the crap needle bearing and replaced with the ECGS bushing.

 

My roommate acquired a 1973 FJ40 over the weekend (needs a lot of work....but then so do I and I've made it this far).

Where did you get the bottom one?

I'm working with a local fab shop who is assembling a custom shuttle rack i designed to carry 5 mt bikes and fold up into the bed all stealth like when not in use so I don't loose the capabilities of the truck bed. We'll be cantilevering roughly 180 lbs off these bed corners a couple feet out, so the stiffeners are a necessity. I'll be posting some pics of the results on the rack as it's finished up and powder coated. Anyone who rides and/or shuttles should find it pretty interesting.
