This really depends on your gun; what I cut is specific to my pistol. The best thing you can do is start small and slowly remove plastic until it fits. It took me at least 10 rounds of cutting and fitting to get it to work right. Best to remove too little instead of too much...

carry a gun without one in the chamber is like having sex with a condom in your wallet.

does the paddle actually stay in place when you're pulling the gun out? I can only draw when my fobus is on my pants

I'm gonna mount an extra paddle holster on my console, next to my leg, under e-brake. Good empty space to fit one of my 40's.

Very cool ideas coming up in this thread! I'm a lefty and usually carry a 4" 1911 in a IWB holster. It'd take me all day to get to it while seated in the truck so these mods give me some great options. I also have a Kahr PM9 (another very compact 9mm) for summer carry that would probably be better suited for the truck's compartments.

That PM9 should fit just fine I'd think. It's pretty close in size to my Kel-Tec.

You need to check your state laws. Most say the loaded firearm must be out of sight, concealed or in the glove box it’s self. A few say it must be visible and in the open. Some you must have a CCW permit and other state you can have it in the car as the car is part of your home. Regardless I would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Not sure who you're talking to specifically, but as I stated in the original post, Texas laws require the pistol to be out of plain sight. Additionally, we're not required to have a concealed permit to carry in the vehicle, or on the way to or from a vehicle. :infantry:

I like this a lot better as to me I have a CHL and it sux when I am packing iron, when I get into my taco i sit down buckle up and notice that it hard to buckle up since i am right side draw, and it digs into my side real bad, I to have fobus holsters and that is a perfect place to mount my piece, thanks for the advice

Glock 21sf or 19 depending on the weather. loaded , leather inside belt holster. FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER! FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER! FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER! And if i get robbed left hand to push, right to "go for wallet or seat belt" and here comes Mr .45, air in blood out. the more of both = better chance for you.

blanks = good way to get killed.
empty chamber makes it a 2 hand deal,,, cant push, swipe or take attention away of Mr .45 coming out to play.
