damn. reminds me of my parents old home until they did a french drain system. literally swam in it when i was a kid. the taunton river runs a good distance behind my house so im not in a flood zone but usually we can't see the top of the river from the deck.......we can see it and we can see the current.........may take the kayak out this weekend :D. But luckily my basement is absolutely dry "it was finished already just fixing the poor quality of it" but we assumed there wasn't a problem. The only water that trickles in is a small leak in the cellar door.

Whiskey with Ginger Ale and OJ, if I am really sick then it's more OJ than Ginger but Whiskey is always first. This and Garlic anything.

Early last fall, I had water seeping in and one of the wires had been nicked when it was stapled to the rafter was arcing. Amazingly my wife heard the arcing when she went down to the basement.

I've been lucky with both of my houses to have dry basements with good drainage systems around the foundations. Last night the discharge pipe for the french drain around the house was pouring water out into the duck pond I dug (the ducks and goose were very excited about it), but the cellar itself was totally dry.

    Yikes.

Welp all this talk of flooded basements is making my wallet hurt. So I'll leave this here:

The white one on the left was formerly owned by Paul Walker (purchased about 5ish years ago from a guy who bought it from him)

Does a professional application of bedliner hold up any better than the rattlecan stuff on sliders?

That Rhino lining or whatever @DoubleRGirl has on her sliders holds up real good. You can dent the metal under it and the coating will stay in shape...

I just rattle can it because I like battle scars and the high from the spray paint.

my experience with bedliner is this. My dad's old tundra had it in the bed and it was a work truck. we used a pitch fork and shovel in it a lot and the only spots it wore down were where the bolts were and a couple other high spots. I did the duplicolor bed coating on my sliders and they have held up for a year so far. Hasn't been on rocks yet which im sure will peel it off but as far as my foot wearing it down it doesn't look worn much if at all. Mostly i think it's just dirt rubbed in.

There's a few loose.... :anonymous: :goingcrazy:
    For sure!
I mean, slipper clutches are a thing on bikes... Why not emulate that in your car?
Pouring smoke like the tranny is like a more direct burnout. Gives you way more street cred.
Nah... Mostly cause most places put mushrooms in it, and I'm allergic. Ends up making my cracker ass feel much much much worse....
IDK what that is, and I don't want to know.

I've launched my Impreza a few times... Usually when absolutely enraged... But in the snow, I would launch and kick the clutch and drift and do race car stuff. It was fun!
Maybe because it's a Chevy? :notsure:

I'd trust the STi's glass transmission over a late 90's Corvette lol.
You lost me at "lots of fresh cracked pepper". But that grilled cheese sounds great!

I'd hate to spend the extra money on it, just to have it peel off on the first rock that comes into contact with it. @DoubleRGirl's sliders will look good forever, since the worst they see is a splash of water here and there lol

GM makes a decent manual transmission. The LS1 (or any LS V8) with a slushbox is just no bueno. But who in there right mind buys a sports car with a slushbox anyways?...

Agreed that 7 should have been the last, and yet I am still excited for 8 lol. Nobody really seems to want to make car action movies anymore yet that is what I grew up on. Somebody get me a Bandit Trans Am lol

We had one of the newer Corvette C6 Z06's as a shop track car and it was plagued with overheating issues so we switched to another platform.

I saw there was some sort of lawsuit involving over-heating Mustang's. Think it was specific to their Shelby GT350
