What do you mean by flicker issues? Mine flicker when they first turn on but then they warm up.

I dont think they are supposed to flicker. i have had a couple different brands, on different cars, and different sizes and ive only had one set that would flicker on startup and would require me to turn the lights off then back on. If your kit flickers i would have them warrenty it.

Ya, Then your good. I think they all do that. I had one kit(general no name brand), that after not to long of use(couple months), would flicker on start up. Woundering if anyone with this brand kit has had any issues..

Hmm...If you think about it, they are exactly like fluorescent house lights. All of the characteristics are the same.

That'd be hilarious if there were selling tiny fluorescent lights and passing them off as HID's. I mean, I'd be pissed if I'd bought some, but I'd be laughing since I haven't.

just got to wondering on my hid blub (hi/lo) has a metal piece along the side on the bulb, and my silver-star didn't, is it suppose to come off? what do yours look like?

Also it cuts it off so the light is not on the top portion of the headlight.

the metal piece is like a sleeve that helps to reflect the light, when you hit the hi/lo the either moves forward or backwards, the metal piece changes the light pattern. Make sure you install correctly!

conventional bulbs will not have the shield because they are duel filament similar to brake light bulbs, you know when you have the parking lights on they are dim but when you press the brakes they get brighter, well same concept for the headlight bulbs.

i hope i made sense

I want to install the 35 watt DDM Slim kit on my 05 Tacoma with OEM Fogs

I want to install the extra relay wire harness with the kit for piece of mind and safety but I have no idea how to include it into the DDM kit for my fogs?

Can someone please help me out with the way it would connect to the kit?

Would I still be able to use my factory fog switch to turn them the HIDS off and on?

Thanks for any diagrams someone could post for my install

I found a website called www.xtremehids.com and found the kit and relay harness I was looking for http://www.xtremehids.com/product_info.php?cPath=21_36&products_id=142

I wanted to stay with OEM White lighting for my fogs but just make them super bright

I purchased their 35 watt 4300 Temp Series and also their H10/9145 relay wire harness for piece of mind

I could have them as soon as Wednesday so I will post pics when the conversion is all finished

They also sell on ebay and have a 99.3% Positive feedback rating Xtremehids are out of Greensboro,NC

Here's a couple pics of the kit

yes I was reading about the NOS they sell on their Myspace page

I just realized I ordered the Ballast that don't have the inline starters:(

Should I be worried or will this do the trick for my OEM fogs

What does the inline starter do?

Ok I did a little more reading and found out that it's better to stick with the starter built into the ballast because it just one less connection that could fail

So i'm feeling good about my HID purchase

I can't wait to finally be able to dodge all the Pot Holes at night time:taco:

My kit from xtremehids.com shipped out today less then 24 hours from when I ordered it!

Looks like I will have it Wednesday:)
