Yes it was, not as good as Pine Barrens, but close.

 

17 Toco, 10K miles and love the looks and the utility. Rides "OK", it's a truck! UNDER POWERED period! Shifts up and down on the hwy, and terrible gas mileage. Traded in a 14 Hemi R/T truck that had twice the power and same gas mileage! Love the interior, the color and have NOT had a single mechanical issue! I will not buy another one, but something about this truck makes me smile every time I drive it, so I'm glad I bought it! Can't explain......

 

Honest question, why do you still come to the Tacoma Forums if you no longer own one?

 

I only took a 2K hit on the trade, and for piling 14K miles in 4 months- I wasn't too upset with that.

 

Exactly my thought.. just curious who has time to browse forums of vehicles they do not own. .

 

The real question is why do you care?

 

I would imagine there are better ways to spend your time than troll forums of a vehicle you only owned for a few months?

Comparing my old TRD OR DCLB-
Overall length- 225.5"
Overall width- 75.2"

Silverado Double Cab Standard bed (6.6" long)
Overall length- 230.3"
Overall width- 80"

The double cab in the Silverado has just a hair less legroom than does the double cab Tacoma- so that's about as apples to apples as your going to get. The Silverado is whopping 5" longer and 5" wider than the old Tacoma DCLB.

The Tacoma is VERY close to a full size in true dimensions. VERY close. And the Silverado has a longer bed!

 

A troll offers no real input. Did I not offer my true experience as a Tacoma owner?

No reason to get defensive. I clearly stated i was curious. I just wondered why you were still here. I have abandoned forums from previous vehicles the day i traded it in.

The tacoma is a large midsize for sure, but it's a bit disingenuous to compare the tacos largest config to a standard Silverado to argue size then praise it's larger bed. You can't have it both ways. The Silverado is a full size, is it not?

Happy that you're happy, but if you don't have a tacoma then the only reason to post on this forum would be to bash on it I would think. Can't see you posting on the other more useful threads XD

 

His experiences are just as valid as yours. What are you trying to exclude people?

 

This right here is trolling. you know they arent in the same class.
For instance, a BMW 3 series and a Toyota camry are similar dimensions. The only similarities are they get you from A to B.

Your argument is not valid. Different classes of vehicles with different target markets. Clearly you market was a full size truck, you just needed to waste a few grand to realize it.
