I run 285/75/16 KO2's in load E rating, they're heavy bastards for sure. I get around around 18 with mixed highway/city driving on stock gears, with full skids and sliders.

No problems with our KBRO2s. Definitely heavier than stock, which is a good thing, and stiffens up the ride nicely. I run at 38-40PSI

I run 43 psi in the front and 40 psi in the rear with my 285/75/16 KO2 E rated tires. The ride feels fine to me.

I run 265/75/r16 E on mine they ride great. I chalk tested them and I have a full contact pattern at 45 psi on my truck unloaded. Fully loaded my contact pattern is good at 50psi. Mileage dropped about 1 mpg with them. I run them at 50-60psi when towing. Loaded for camping on road use 50psi. Loaded for camping on rock/dirt trail use 25psi. Beach with camping/fishing gear 15-20psi depends on the sand quality, good wet, packed sand I don't air down at all.

I personally won't run anything but an E rated tire. They are just so much more durable on and off road. Not to mention the tread compound wears like iron. I have on numerous occasions in the past driven right over things on the trail with E rated tires that later cut or punctured friends C rated/P rated tires. My only 2 tire failures on the trail were on C rated tires. One of them was a tread face puncture the other was a side wall cut. I swapped them out for Es and haven't looked back.

FYI the reason i run lower pressure i'm my E tires is due to the size. 265/65-17 has smaller sidewalls and less flex than the 285 big brothers.. even the 265/70's. if i run even at 34 cold, not to mention 40 how the shop set them, i'm running on rocks, not tires. the bigger tires can get away with those pressures, but our ride is probably the same. end of the day the chalk test doesn't lie.

I'm running 265/75r16 E's on my first gen reg cab. Arguably the lightest Tacoma you can get w/4wd. Slight decrease in MPG, but I went from factory tires to the BFG's so the size and weight are both factors. They're stiff, but if livable for my truck, they will be fine for any Tacoma

I run about 30-32 on the street and 15 in the dirt. The extra stiffness and tough sidewall are worth the pounding they can take. When you're hitting 60-70mph in the desert, using the bump stops frequently and dodging bowling ball sized rocks, it's nice to have a tire you can trust to take the beating and get you home.

Glad I ran across this thread. I just swapped old KO's for new KO2's all 265/70/17C. Having trouble finding a sweet spot on psi. Been 90'ish the last couple of days so a cold 38 psi jumps quick to 41.5 psi and seems to beat me up on T4R 17 x 7.5 Trail wheels. Today with 38 psi hot still seems bumpy. Cannot believe some run as much as 50 psi which makes them balloons. Chalk testing is secondary to a comfortable ride. Planning on a 1500 mile road trip soon and gotta get theses comfortable for the trip. Maybe I will drop again to get 35 hot psi and see how they feel. I have one rear rim that is odd weighted, requires more than the other 3, but was the same with the KO. Love the look but after only a few days not happy with the ride yet.

I run my 285 ko2s at 28-30 psi. Nice and smooth :) mph with mixed city, highway, and traffic is 16 mpg

Chalk test your tires guys. Mine with just my armor on the truck want 45 psi to get a good pattern on the highway. Inflate them correctly for wear and make them last.

My truck is a a little "husky"....

My sliders alone are 204 lbs. Bed rack 93 lbs, roof rack and lights 58lbs. Then you throw in recovery gear, bug out gear, guns, ammunition, body armor, fuel jug, tools and yada yada it adds up.

I'm rolling a 285/65/18 E load K02 and love the feel of it. I know I lost a bit of power going to this however its not a race car and I would rather have an E load tire than a road hazard that interrupts my day. I'm at 38lbs cold and 42 at driving temps.

My first set replacement set was KO in load E. Next 3 sets were load C. I will never do E again unless I run a 33" tires which most are Load E. Nitto does have a 33 in load C now, Ridge Grappler.
