Did you buy your truck used? Maybe the previous owners account is still attributed to that VIN?

 

I did. Could be a possibility but If they went through the trouble to get the app I would assume they would've downloaded an app or two. Who knows.

 

Entune works over the Bluetooth connection. So it's pulling the info from your phones Entune app (which isn't configured) so I'm guessing that is why you don't have the extra apps.

 

None of my apps work. I've tried probably 2 dozen different VINs ('14 radio in '11 truck) and I can't get entunes to connect from the radio to my phone.

I've read that Canadian radios don't support the entunes stuff, not sure how true this is.

 

Ive seen several mods posted about how to have an always-on rearview camera for trucks that have the display in the rearview mirror. Does anyone have a mod for an always-on rearview camera for an Entune head unit?

 

Entunes Really what in the world was Toyota thinking . I had had to go to the dealer for a update. I can update my iPhone on a subway platform in NYC but can't up date Entunes with out a dealer getting involved.

 

What was Toyota thinking? They were thinking about making money and designed a sound system that you had to pay the dealer to maintain.

 

Mine updated when I went to the dealer to complain about a minor issue. All automatic.
Scummy dealer didn't fix what needed to be fixed. My entune has worked fine since.

My weather and traffic apps stopped working a few days ago and I can't get them to work. I live in a populated area so lack of a signal should be the issue. Any thoughts?

Is it possible to add Navigate to a unit that didn't come with it?

 

No it it's not, you would have to get one with Navi
