I have a 2014 with the TRD offroad package I currently have the billstein 5100 set at 1.75 with the factory coil springs and am getting quite a bit of rub with the 265/75/16 bfg ko2 . I just bought a set of adjustable upper control arms and was going to raise the billstein 5100s to the 2.5 in of lift setting to get rid of the rubbing problem. When raising to this setting can I continue to use the factory coil springs?? Or will I need to get some other coils???

Nothing more but the factory coil is recommended at that setting. If you were to use another coil, the Billy's would have to be set on the lowest setting. You're good. I'm curious though, where and when are you rubbing? Most members have that tire size and have no rubbing issues at all.

I took the front flaps off , and I'm still rubbing on the bottom of the fender flare.I'm not sure if it's because I have spacers on as well but hopefully raising it higher will stop the rub

I don't think lifting the front anymore would get rid of your rubbing issue. Do you have aftermarket rims?

I out 265/70/r17s (essentially the same tire) on mine with the same set up and did not rub. But when I put on my SCS SR8s, I had to remove the little front flaps.

With spacers right? I bet if you removed the spacers your rub would go away (or be minimal).

The 75s are gonna rub with stock wheels and most aftermarket wheels for the Tacoma. Look into to some wheel spacers

    Wrong.^^^

OP, do you have the mini mud flaps on the front of the wheel well still on? You shouldn't be rubbing with that size. I'd remove those little flaps, and if still rubbing get your caster set higher.

Your problem is the spacers. Also, you can negate the rubbing to a minimum or entirely if you get adjustable UCA's. If you are looking to save some bucks just remove the spacers, if you want to retain the look then you will need the UCA's.

The lift height or the wheels aren't the problem. Your alignment is jacked if you're rubbing anywhere besides the front mud flaps.

It's all give and take

As mentioned, I bet it's the small flaps in the very front. Have you pinpointed where your rubbing exactly?

Interesting. Your first step should be to go get an alignment, and report back here with the numbers. Shoot for 0* toe, 0* camber and 2.5ish caster.

Front flaps are all removed. It rubs at the bottom of the fender flares at full turn left or right
