Lets go DC! Love watching Rumble fight but DC is a little more technical and will probably take him to the ground to gas him out again. If he can avoid or eat Rumbles haymaker again like their first fight I think he will be okay.

Reading comments from MMA sources and I don't get the DC hate. Did he do or say something in the past that I missed? People say "He's a paper champ, once AJ beats him he will be the true champ". How? Doesn't that technically make him a paper champ too if he wins since a lot of fans are saying DC didn't beat Jones for the belt so shouldn't the same apply for AJ?

Figure I'd bring the topic up with you guys since you guys are respectable and I enjoy talking MMA with you guys during events.

Imo its cuz most believe DC will never beat jones. Jones is better in every aspect. I mean DC is a wrestler but people forget how good jones is on the matts. But yea it should be pretty good fight regardless. I dont think many can stand with rumble.

Weidman was stalling that thing and the minute the ref was told the knees were legal, he should have told Weidman to get the fuck up, nothing else. If he didn't then the fight would have ended. Well, it ended, in all sorts of bullshit controversy.

I think Manuwa was the one who called out DC, I think.

The Weidman controversy was whether or not he had both hands down when he got popped with a knee to the head, which after replays it showed it was legal. The ref stopped the fight because he thought it was illegal, gave Chris the 5 minutes. When checking cage side to see how much time he had left, he was told they WERE LEGAL, docs came in the cage before that, and at that point they should have been told to leave and Weidman told to get up and fight, or lose. Weidman dragged it on and stalled, got the 5 minutes and the ref stopped the fight and Gegard won. Fair and square I think.

 

How many loses ina row is that for wiedman? that guy fought so hard for ufc in NY and cant seem to win when he fights there either time.
